I just came across this awesome time-lapse video on Vimeo demonstrating that beauty, as always, is in the eye of the beholder. I know quite a few people who think not very kindly of that volcano in Iceland because their travels were affected by it, but I hope this clip will provide a different perspective.
I Love a Design Sketchbook
Every single design I have ever started began with a piece of paper and some pencils. Eventually, that design would or would not find it’s way to an actual live WordPress theme, but using those pencils really help me in the creative process. Heck, quite a few times drawing out those various elements of the design I’m working on resulted in me not finding any need in mocking everything up in Photoshop.
As I was looking for sketchbooks stuff on the interwebz I found an awesome solution in the form of an actual design sketchbook! There are even a couple of pdf’s for your downloading pleasure, including a 960px layout
Fibonacci and Nature
If you ever had any doubts on whether there is logic to be found in nature I encourage you to watch this beautifully made clip I found on YouTube today. If you have no doubt I also encourage you to watch. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.
More info on the Fibonacci range can be found on Wikipedia.
Our Food is our Poison
I’ve been a firm advocate of eating in the most ecological way possible. This means cutting down on sugar, eating the proper fats, proper wheat and as much fresh and organic food as possible. This is not easy. Not because it’s difficult to stick to my choice, but mostly because it’s hard to find food that has not been tampered with.
One person I find very inspiring when it comes to eating in a healthy and ecological way is Jamie Oliver. I love watching his shows where he demonstrates how much you can do honest and pure food. And passion. And it’s this passion he so vigorously applies to his speech given at TED. A must see. To get inspired.
So, what do you think? Convinced that we are poisoning ourselves with our food too? I was, but my beliefs have just been reinstated.
I was going to…
I was going to turn this domain into a business card kind of domain, but now I have it up and running, I’m not so sure anymore. Now I’m thinking I’d actually like to use this domain to blog in English. Been looking for an excuse to do so ever since I started blogging and developing websites with WordPress.
Not sure how much blogging I would get done here, but I’d love start and see how it grows. Not as a diary or something, but more-so as an outlet for me to talk about things I find inspiring, am curious about and love to share. Varying from talking about some of the outlandish stuff I read and watch to the short and quick links I come across on this big interwebz.
Need to figure this out before I start thinking about design too… wish me luck!
