Life is what happens…

… to you when you’re busy making other plans. It’s a famous quote by John Lennon that proves to be true time and time again. At least for me.

Yesterday, I’ve let everyone at Servebolt know I would leave them. I found myself wanting to pursue personal (business) goals that required me to be fully on my own again. So, it was time to make other plans and say goodbye.

I did so with a heavy heart as Servebolt, its people, and its products and services, are very much aligned with many of my goals. But, after a good run of a little over 2 years, I found myself in a position where I needed change. Change into a direction that was more aligned with where I wanted to be as a whole and not just some parts.

We’ve split up super amicably, if you’re wondering. There’s a strong possibility we’ll collaborate in some ways later down the line, but for now, I wish them the absolute best. From the outside.

What’s next, you ask?

Great question! I will start by refocusing on my WordPress Agency all while taking some quality time to reboot both the Dutch site as well as the English alternative. My focus, as ever, will be on performance & scaling, e-commerce & publishing, and building cool stuff.

The quality time will also go into some side projects that I have been wanting to start. And lastly, I will be picking up my newsletter again as well as look into hosting my own podcast. I’ve been on lots of different podcasts over the years and I’ve always considered setting one up myself, but I’ve never really put any thoughts into it beyond “considering it”.

So there you have it. Change is the only ever constant, isn’t it?
